Our Story

Hey everyone! Kevin here. Ama let me write our love story so I will try my best to give you the unbiased story of how she fell in love with me off of one glance, lets get into it!

When you hear a story about two people meeting its always about fate, timing, or just sheer luck. You hear that it happened when they least expected it or that it was pure happenstance. To be honest, our story isn’t one of luck, it is one of predestination.

We found each other or I should say I found Ama at a PENSA church convention in VA when I saw her outside of the church service. The pastors would always say that when you go to these conventions that you should pray for a spouse but to also keep one eye open so you wouldn’t miss them when they passed you by. When I saw Ama in the hallway both of my eyes were wide open, trust me, I mean you see the material.

If you know me then you know that I am a sociable person, not shy at all but I had no clue what I was going to say to this gorgeous woman. I definitely did not want to mess it up. So when I saw her walking by again I stopped and I asked one question. Can you guess what it was? Not what’s your name? or how are you? No nothing like that……I said…..”Hey! Do you remember me?” I don’t know what made me ask that but that was all I could muster.

She looked at me with a smile and really tried to place my face with name, meanwhile I knew she had zero clue who I was. After about a minute of her trying to figure it out I told her that I was only joking and that I just wanted to stop her and introduce myself. I told her my name and she told me hers and I said have a good night.

Now as I said before we were at PENSA convention which is Friday to Sunday. This happened Saturday night. I didn’t ask Ama for her number or Instagram or anything. I figured that I would keep it player, y’all know how I do, and just leave her thinking about the interaction. I played that part to a T. Meanwhile I was hoping and praying that I would see her the next day before everyone went home.

Sunday church comes and goes, To be honest I don’t remember what they preached about that day. I just needed to find Ama. After church ended people were taking pictures and saying their goodbyes and I had no idea where she was. It was about that time for me to get in my car and leave and RIGHT before I gave up my search I saw her in lobby and the rest is history. Now that I read back it looks like I fell in love with her off of one glance….Crazy.

So when I tell you guys that God created us for each other and created the perfect opportunity for our worlds to collide, trust and believe that I am telling y’all the truth! Years of texts, calls, facetimes, and flights have landed us here at this moment together. Long distance is not for the weak but we thank God we are both strong. Our bond, our love, our story is one for the ages and this is only the beginning!
